Playas del Rey,

means The Kings' Beaches, referring to King Jaume I (first King of Majorca) who disembarked in Santa Ponsa 1229, for his further invasion of the island.

  A dream...

A few centuries later a young couple arrived by boat to Santa Ponsa and were enchanted. They had a vision, to give other people the opportunity of enjoying that unique place.

  ...come true

And so with a lot of illusion they made their dream a reality. That is how Hotel Playas del Rey became a lifetime project. Thanks to the care taken towards its clients with energy and enthusiasm a project which began in 1968 is still vibrant today.
